Getting to Gocek

Gocek

Gocek is very accessible. Dalaman Airport is less than half an hour to the west, while the main highway that runs all along the southern coast of Turkey, the D400, runs through the town. Some people even arrive by sea!

Air
Dalaman Airport has domestic flights to Istanbul all year round and can easily link visitors to any part of the world. Direct international flights begin around Easter with many cheap flights or holiday packages continuing until November. TUI Airways, Easyjet, Thomas Cook, amongst many other international airlines now join Turkish Airlines and Pegasus in their flights to Dalaman on a daily basis.

Road
The east-west highway is an excellent, modern, and almost exclusively four-lane highway. To the east, there is Fethiye and ultimately, the city of Antalya, either via the scenic coastal route or over the equally impressive mountain road.

To the west, past the Gocek tunnel, which allows the highway to cut through the mountain there are many other locations to visit including Koycegiz, Marmaris, and the towns of the Datca Peninsula. In the opposite direction, you may take the road to travel towards Mugla, Aydin, Izmir and ultimately Istanbul.

There are regular coach bus services providing excellent and fairly cheap connections to all of the aforementioned cities and towns.

Sea
Some visitors arrive aboard a gulet or yacht though there is a regular connection from Fethiye to the Greek Island of Rhodes. Either way, visitors are welcome and will find bars, restaurants, and shopsto meet all of their needs.
