Fethiye

Fethiye How to get here

Fethiye

Fethiye sits between the highway running east-west along the Southern Turkish Coast and the Aegean Sea. Anyone that travels that road frequently and has never turned off to see what Fethiye has to offer should check it out, as there is so much to see and do in Fethiye! from amazing beaches to fantastic restaurants and maybe what it is most famous for rental yacht Fethiye, well this is one of the best starting places for a Mediterranean cruise.

Locally, there are Dolmus mini-buses and taxis. Do check on the estimated price before getting in a taxi and ask the driver for the taxi meter. Most dolmus buses within Fethiye are around 20 lira.

Air
Dalaman International Airport is around 45 minutes away to the west and has daily domestic flights to Istanbul, with connections all around the world.

The new terminal, completed in 2018, accommodates domestic and international flights. The old airport is currently being renovated and services domestic flights within Turkey.

Road
The National Bus services are excellent. There are air-conditioned coaches heading east and west, and as far north as Izmir and Istanbul. Those flying into Dalaman can go as far as Kalkan and Kas, west to Marmaris, and down the peninsula to Datca. While many will be traveling with their holiday package provider, independent travelers should have no trouble getting around the coastline on their own.

Some people prefer to travel independently and those who decide to hire a car and explore for themselves will find the road system good and fairly straightforward.

Sea
There are regular connections between Fethiye and the Greek Island of Rhodes, while plenty of people arrive in Fethiye at the end of their gulet or yacht cruise.
